Abstract:
Purpose - This study seeks to examine the influence of teamwork dynamics within organizations practicing remote work in Nigeria. Research Design and Method - This study adopted the descriptive survey research design which involves collecting data from a sample with a questionnaire. Convenient sampling technique was used select 500 samples for the study which includes selected individual working remotely across different organization. A questionnaire titled “Teamwork Dynamics Within Organizations Practicing Remote Work in Nigeria (TDWOPRWN)” was the main instrument for this study. The instrument was analysed using frequency count, mean, standard deviation, percentages and Pearson Product Correlation Movement (PPMC) at 0.05 level of significance. Result - The results of the study indicate a positive impact of teamwork dynamics within organizations that practice remote work in Nigeria. The result also revealed there there is a significant and positive relationship between employee engagement, teamwork and remote work effectiveness Recommendation - It is recommended that organizations should invest in and adopt tools that enhance communication, project management, and knowledge sharing among remote teams. Managers/employers of labour should emphasize clear goal setting, regular check-ins, and providing guidance and support while allowing team members the autonomy to manage their work effectively. Originality/value -This research explores the notable gap in the literature concerning the impact of teamwork dynamics within organizations practicing remote work in Nigeria and ensuring team growth and productivity. This study contributes valuable theoretical, methodological, and practical insights that hold significance for human resource practitioners, employers, policymakers, and stakeholders engaged in remote work practices within organizations globally, especially in Nigeria.
