Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the Female Low Enrolment in Science Subjects and its Menace in some Selected Secondary Schools in Fagge Zonal Education of Kano State. The survey was conducted among science-based Senior Secondary School two (SSS2) female students in five randomly selected senior secondary schools in the zone to ascertain the causes and improvements of low females’ students’ enrolment in science subjects. Twenty-five test item questionnaires based on six (6) factors of socio-cultural, parental, teachers, self, school environment and marital suspected to be capable of causing low enrolment in science subjects were formulated and used for the study. Two hundred and twenty (220) questionnaires were administered and one hundred and eighty (180) were returned. The data was analyzed with the aid of simple percentages as a statistical method. Results showed that of all the factors investigated, only parental, school environment and marital factors were implicated as the major factors for low female students’ enrolment in science subjects in the selected schools. The socio-economic status of parents, time allotment to household chores by married students, gender insensitivity, illustrations in science textbooks have also contributed to low enrolment of female students in science subjects. Contrary to expectations, socio-cultural, self and teacher factors were not major contributing factors to low female students’ enrolment in science subjects in schools in the zonal education office. In spite of the identified factors causing low enrolment of female students in science subjects in the study area, improvements in the enrolment can be achieved by payment of allowances to female science students to serve as motivation, enlightenment of both the parents and their female students on the importance of science to national development and provision of good science laboratories and facilities.

Planning Strategies and Learning Reflection Practices among Pre-Service Teachers in Upper Basic Education in Tai Local Government Area, Rivers State, Nigeria
Abstract
The study investigated the relationship between planning strategies and learning reflection practices among pre-service teachers in upper basic education in Tai Local Government, Rivers State, Nigeria. Two (2) specific objectives and research questions posed were answered, and corresponding null hypotheses were formulated, stated, and tested at the 0.05 level of significance. A correlation research design was adopted for this study, and the population consisted of seventy-three (73) pre-service teachers, comprising 27 student-teachers and 47 corps members deployed to Upper Basic Education in Tai Local Government, Rivers State. No sampling method was employed, as the entire population served as a sample for the study. Two (2) sets of instruments titled "Questionnaire on Planning Strategies (QPS) and Learning Reflection Practices Scale (LRPDS)” were used for data collection, which were validated by three experts in educational management, measurement, and evaluation. The reliability indexes of 0.83 and 85 were obtained, respectively, using the test-retest method. Research questions were answered using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient, and a transformational test was conducted to ascertain if the null hypotheses were significant or not. It was found out that there was a significant relationship between lesson plan quality and learning reflection practices among pre-service teachers in Upper Basic Education in Tai Local Government, Rivers State, and a significant relationship between instructional methods and learning reflection practices among pre-service teachers in Upper Basic Education in Tai Local Government, Rivers State. Based on the findings, it was recommended, among others, that the government should develop integrated training programs for pre-service teachers that explicitly emphasise the symbiotic relationship between lesson planning, instructional methodologies, and learning reflection.

Students’ Perception of the Effectiveness of Mass Media Campaigns on Mental Health Awareness in Nigeria: A Study of Auchi Polytechnic Students
Abstract
Mental health challenge remains a stigmatized and under-addressed issue in Nigeria, contributing to significant societal challenge. Mass media campaigns have emerged as potential tools to raise awareness and combat the stigma. However, little research explores the effectiveness of these campaigns from the perspective of students. It is in the light of the above that this study examines students’ perception of the effectiveness of mass media campaigns on mental health awareness in Nigeria. The researchers embarked on this study with the intent of achieving four objectives; and based on the objectives of this study, four research questions were formulated to serve as a guide for this study. This study is hinged on the rational model theory. The researchers adopted the survey research design, and data were collected through the use of questionnaire. Findings from this study reveal that that a majority of the respondents (31%) rated their level of awareness of mental health issues as very high as a result of their exposure to mass media campaigns on the subject. The study also reveals that a majority of the respondents (30%) noted that one of the impacts of mass media campaigns on the attitudes of students towards seeking help for mental concerns is that these campaigns have increased help-seeking behaviour among students. This study therefore, concludes that mass media campaigns have proven to be effective in addressing mental health issues in Nigeria by raising awareness, promoting understanding, and reducing stigma. They have successfully disseminated information, encouraged help-seeking behavior, and fostered conversations about mental health. This study, among other things recommends that producers of media messages should recognize the cultural and regional diversity within Nigeria and tailor mass media campaigns accordingly. Mental health issues may be perceived and addressed differently across various communities; therefore, the producers of media message should produce campaigns that resonate with different cultural backgrounds, languages, and social norms to ensure inclusivity and effectiveness.

Change and Innovation Management for Successful Implementation of Post Covid-19 Reforms in Rivers State-Owned Universities
Abstract
The study examined change and innovation management for successful implementation of post COVID-19 reforms in Rivers State-owned universities. Three objectives and three research questions guided the study. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The population of the study comprised all 100 heads of departments in Rivers State-owned universities: 65 from Rivers State University and 35 from Ignatius Ajuru University of Education. A simple random sampling technique was used to engage 73% of the entire population in the study. The instrument for data collection was a structured questionnaire titled, “Change and Innovation Management for Successful Implementation of post COVID-19 Reforms in Rivers State-owned universities (CIMSIEP). The reliability of the instrument was established using Cronbach's alpha internal consistency method. The average reliability index obtained for Sections A, B, and C respectively was 0.73. Mean and standard deviation statistics were used to answer the research questions. The findings from this study aimed to investigate change and innovation management in the successful implementation of post COVID-19 reforms in Rivers State-owned universities, focusing on the adoption of digital learning platforms, professional development in innovative pedagogical approaches, and the impact of adherence to change among staff members. The study revealed that the adoption of digital learning platforms improves the successful implementation of post COVID-19 reforms in Rivers State-owned universities. The study recommends among others that universities should continue investing in robust digital infrastructure to support remote and hybrid learning, which includes ensuring widespread access to high-speed internet, updating technological resources, and implementing user-friendly digital platforms.
