Abstract
This study examined business education teaching resources available for academic staff job performance in universities in South-West and South-South, Nigeria. Three research questions and three null hypotheses guided the study. The study adopted the descriptive survey research design. The population for the study consisted of all the 12 universities offering business education in South-West and South-South, Nigeria. As the entire population were sampled using the purposive sampling technique. A checklist titled: "Business Education Teaching Resources Availability Checklist (BETRAC)" was used to conduct the study. The validity and reliability of the checklist were established. Data were analysed using frequencies, percentages and graphs. Hypotheses were tested using chi-square statistics at a 0.05 significance level. The findings indicated that the electronic and physical plant business education teaching resources were more available in the Federal universities than those of the State universities in South-West and South-South, Nigeria. The hypotheses indicated that there was a significant difference between Federal and State universities in the availability of electronic business education teaching resources in the South-West and South-South. It was recommended among others that the Federal and State Governments should support the universities with sufficient business education electronic, non-electronic and physical plant teaching resources for academic staff job performance.

Service Quality in Higher Education Based on Students’ Perspectives
Abstract
This study investigated quality service delivery in higher education based on students' perspectives. The study aimed to determine whether students' expectations of service quality in higher education significantly differed from what they experienced and whether their experience of service quality predicted their satisfaction and loyalty. Four hundred and twenty first-year students were sampled from two public universities to participate in the study. The data gathering instrument used in the study was the students' evaluation of service quality questionnaire. Analysis was done using descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling techniques. Results showed that the average mean score of prior expectations of university service quality was significantly higher than the average mean score of experience, suggesting that what students expected of university service quality was higher than what they experienced. The results also indicated that students' experiences of service quality had a significant direct effect on their satisfaction levels. Students' levels of satisfaction in turn, significantly and positively predicted their loyalty. The results further indicated that students' service quality experience had an indirect (mediated by satisfaction) significant and positive effect on loyalty. Higher education authorities are encouraged to improve service quality, which is a critical way to enhance students' satisfaction and, for that matter, their loyalty and stay intentions.

There are problems with teachers’ effectiveness as a result of improper utilization of ICT facilities in teaching and learning process. This research is to examine teachers’ effectiveness on the use of information and communication technology (ICT) facilities in secondary schools, Calabar education zone. Specifically, this research sought to find the influence of overhead projector and digital versatile disk facilities on teachers’ effectiveness in government secondary schools. Related literature and some empirical studies were reviewed. Two research questions and two hypotheses were formulated which guided this research work. Four Likert rating scales made up of 16 structured questionnaire items used in generating data for the study, while the instrument was face validated by three experts. The population of 1,831 respondents with the sample size of 886 teachers and a survey design technique were employed. Data collected was analyzed using the simple percentages and bar charts for the research questions and analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to test the hypotheses formulated. The finding revealed that overhead1 projectors and digital versatile disk families were found fairly utilized in teaching and learning process and they significantly influences teachers’ effectiveness in secondary schools. It is recommended that digital versatile disk should be made available in government secondary schools and overhead projectors should be installed. Also, teachers and students should be trained on the use of the ICT facilities in order to use them for teachers' effectiveness.

The instrument was subjected to face and content validity by three experts, two experts were of Business Education and one expert of Measurement and Evaluation from Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rivers State. Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient test was used to test the instrument internal consistency, the computation done with the aid of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS), version 21 yielded a reliability index of 0.74 for the two clusters of the questionnaire. Data collected were analyzed using mean (▁x) and standard deviation (sd) to answer the research questions, while independent t-test was used to test hypotheses raised at 0.05 level of significance. Out of the entire copies of questionnaire distributed, only 80% were properly filled and returned. The results revealed that both lecturers and students agreed that traditional and innovative pedagogical practices are being utilized for developing students’ managerial skills. The traditional pedagogical practices used by the lecturers include lecture, case study, seminar and discussions; while the innovative pedagogical practices utilized include mentoring, experiential, inquiry, blended learning and team learning. The population of the study was 12,241 students in Rivers State. The researcher employed the correlational research design for the study. The reliability coefficient yielded 0.80 using a test-retest method which shows that the instrument is reliable. Based on the findings the researcher revealed that cultural beliefs, parents and religion are the socio-cultural factors responsible for gender discrimination in sports in Rivers State. Comparative Effects of Maternal Educational Attainment and Instructional Scaffolding on a Child’s Educational Outcomes in Cameroon
Abstract
This study investigates the comparative effects of married and single mothers’ educational attainment and instructional scaffolding on a child’s educational outcomes in Cameroon. The demographic survey data used is collected from the Cameroon National Institute of Statistics database. Employing the instrumental variable (IV) probit estimation technique, the study shows that an additional year of married mothers’ education as opposed to single mothers has positive and statistically significant effects on children’s educational outcomes. Using the analysis of variance estimation technique, the study reveals that married and single mothers’ utilization of instructional scaffolding has positive and statistically significant effects on children’s educational outcomes. Moreover, the findings indicate that Piaget and Vygotsky’s framework of instructional scaffolding is applicable in the Cameroonian economy. The study therefore recommends that the Cameroon government can improve early childhood education by creating a capacity building workshop where married and single parents will be educated on the value of attaining higher levels of education, how to adapt the culture of using one-on-one scaffolding technique as well as prompt questioning technique to scaffold a child. The study further recommends that married and single mothers should use innovative scaffolding techniques, provide appropriate explanations and give spaces for children’s voices and feedback throughout the instructional scaffolding process.

Electronic Invigilation Inclusion in Curbing Examination Malpractices Among Postgraduate Students in Selected Public Tertiary Institutions In Rivers State
Abstract
The study investigated electronic invigilation inclusion in curbing examination malpractices among postgraduate students in selected public tertiary institutions in Rivers State. The study adopted the descriptive survey research design. Three research questions and three hypotheses guided the study. The population of the study consisted of all 9,510 postgraduate students of three academic sessions of three tertiary institutions. Taro Yamane Formula was used for the sample size. The multi-stage sampling techniques were adopted in selecting the sample size of 400. A structured questionnaire titled electronic invigilation inclusion in curbing examination malpractice questionnaire (EIICEMQ) was used as an instrument for data collection. Three experts validated the instrument and Cronbach Alpha Method was used to obtain an average reliability coefficient of 0.83. 400 copies of the questionnaire were administered to the respondents but only 365 were retrieved and used for the study. The items were rated on a four (4) point rating scale; mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions while z-test was used in testing the formulated hypotheses. The findings reviewed that there is a high extent of close-circuit television (CCTV) camera, biometric system and signal jamming devices inclusion in curbing examination malpractices among postgraduate students in selected public tertiary institutions in Rivers State. The researcher recommended that tertiary institutions should adopt the use of CCTV camera for surveillance and the recording of examination offenses because the mere presence of CCTV cameras alone is capable of scaring potential malpractice candidates, since they are well aware of being watched, with the possibilities of recorded clips being filed as evidence of malpractice endeavors, tertiary institutions should adopt the use of biometric system in registering admitted students and use same process in identifying the registered students during examinations and tertiary institutions should also deploy signal jamming devices in order to temporarily stop the functionality of cell phones and its usage for unnecessary communications during examinations.
