Abstract:

We study a Vlasov–Poisson system with radiation damping and an external magnetic field on the three–dimensional torus. We establish the global existence of classical and weak solutions, prove the propagation of velocity moments of order greater than three, and derive an exact energy dissipation equality. The analysis shows that the Lorentz force does not affect the dissipation mechanism, and the total energy provides a strict Lyapunov functional for the dynamics.
