Waste Management and Marketing in Federal Polytechnics: Implications for Sustainable Healthy Environment and Revenue Generation.
Abstract
The proportion of waste generated across Nigerian campuses is so large and what seems to be a gold mine for most public tertiary institutions in terms of revenue generation has continued to constitute health hazard for both staff and students in the school environment. If properly harnessed, waste generated within federal polytechnic environment is capable giving her financial freedom and boost employment creation. Broadly, this study examines waste management and marketing in federal polytechnics: implications for sustainable healthy environment and revenue generation. Specifically, the study examines the level of waste generated across federal polytechnics in southwest Nigeria; find out the health hazard posed by waste materials generated in federal polytechnic across southwest Nigeria; investigate the economic value of objects that constitute waste in federal polytechnics across South west Nigeria and ascertain the extent to which federal polytechnics in southwest Nigeria reduce, reuse and recycle waste on campuses. The researchers adopt survey research design in this study while primary data was elicited through questionnaire. The population of the study consists of all federal polytechnics in southwest Nigeria while the unit of analysis comprises of all the officers in charge of waste management in the selected federal polytechnics. Data collected was processed using the Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS version 25.0). The processed data analyzed using descriptive statistics. The study found that the health officers are aware of environmental and health implications of poor waste management but their approach to waste management pose threats to the health of both staff and students in the polytechnics under focus. Plastic constitute the majority of waste generated in federal polytechnics. This shows the consumption rate of soft drinks is very high among polytechnic students. Waste managers are also aware of the vast opportunities in waste management but these opportunities are not converted to wealth to boost the IGR of federal polytechnics in Nigeria. It was majorly recommended that management of federal polytechnics should set up structured waste management system, including waste sorting points, recycling centers and waste-to-wealth units on campus. These should be managed by trained environmental officers and supported by student volunteers or interns

Influence of Government Policies on the Planning and Implementation of Engineering Projects in Lagos State.
Abstract
This study investigated the influence of government policies on engineering project management outcomes in Lagos State, Nigeria. A descriptive survey design was adopted, and data were collected from key stakeholders including project managers, regulatory officials, and community representatives. The analysis relied on frequency tables and percentages to present patterns and trends in stakeholder responses. Findings showed that while government policies provide essential regulatory direction, inefficiencies such as bureaucratic delays, frequent regulatory changes, and inconsistencies between state and federal policies create significant challenges for timely and cost-effective project delivery. The study concludes that strategic alignment with government policies, enhanced stakeholder engagement, and stronger intergovernmental coordination are crucial to improving engineering project outcomes in Lagos State.

Warehouse Optimization and Organizational Efficiency of Indigenous Shipping Companies in South-West Nigeria.
Abstract
This study examined the relationship between warehouse optimization and organizational efficiency of indigenous shipping companies in South-West Nigeria. The study adopted the correlational research design to explore the relationship between warehouse optimization (warehouse layout optimization and warehouse space optimization) and organizational efficiency (operational efficiency and cost efficiency) of indigenous shipping companies in South-West Nigeria. The population of this study consisted of 52 indigenous shipping companies registered with the Nigerian Shipping Council in the South-West Zone of Nigeria. The census sampling technique was adopted in this study. The sampling units consisted of managers of indigenous shipping companies in South-West Nigeria. Data were collected from the respondents using a structured questionnaire. The data collected were analyzed statistically while the Spearman Rank Order Correlation Coefficient (rho) and the SPSS version 24 were used to test the hypotheses. The findings revealed that warehouse layout optimization has significant relationship with operational efficiency of indigenous shipping companies in South-West Nigeria. The study also found a significant relationship between warehouse layout optimization and cost efficiency of indigenous shipping companies in South-West Nigeria. A significant relationship was also reported between warehouse space optimization and operational efficiency of indigenous shipping companies in South-West Nigeria. The study equally revealed that warehouse space optimization has significant relationship with cost efficiency of indigenous shipping companies in South-West Nigeria. Therefore, it was concluded that warehouse optimization is significantly related to organizational efficiency of indigenous shipping companies in South-West Nigeria. International Tourism Marketing: Theory, Strategies, and Greek Applications.
Abstract
International tourism marketing involves creating promotional plans to showcase destinations and services and experiences to people who travel between countries. The marketing of international tourism differs from domestic marketing because businesses and governments need to handle diverse cultural elements, worldwide market competition, seasonal fluctuation, environmental sustainability and political instability. This research examines international tourism marketing principles through an analysis of destination branding methods, market segmentation approaches and digital advertising strategies while investigating organizational procedures and stakeholder partnerships. The Greek tourism industry serves as a case study to demonstrate the dual nature of global market competition in this sector.

Reciprocal Mentoring as a Strategy for Organizational Resilience in a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous (VUCA) Environment: The Jollof Rice Analogy.
Abstract
In today’s volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous global environment, organisations face increasing pressure to build resilience through varied perspectives, skills, and experiences. These varied perspectives, skills, and experiences require a diverse team that can contribute institutional knowledge, innovative approaches and digital fluency that enhance organisational resilience in a global turbulent environment. This paper introduces the Jollof rice analogy to model reciprocal mentoring as a strategic approach that transcends traditional one-way knowledge transfer. The reciprocal mentoring model encourages a synergistic learning environment by fusing the unique strengths of an intergenerational workforce much like the classic dish of Jollof rice blends protein, rice, and spices.
Based on an extensive review of scholarly literature, integrative theoretical frameworks, and diverse trans-national case studies, the paper argues that structured, cross-age collaboration systematically convert intergenerational variance into strategic leverage as illustrated by leading manufacturers in Germany, Silicon Valley technology firms, and the Federal Civil Service of Nigeria. By "stirring" diverse workforces through reciprocal mentoring, organisations can bridge generational divides, leverage diversity of perspectives and enhance the adaptability needed for sustained resilience in a rapidly changing world.

Exploring the Benefits of an Effective Supply Chain Channel Design on Marketing Performance of Agricultural Products’ Firms.
Abstract
Even with the expansion of the vendor network channel management research and the development of the nation's agricultural industry, there seem to be no empirical research on supply chain channel design as it relates to marketing performance of agricultural products’ firms. Particularly, it appears that there have not been studies on the relationship between supply chain channel design, within the context of Nigeria agricultural industry. The lack of literature by scholars with respect to supply chain channel design in the agricultural industry to trigger innovations in channel techniques and strategies could properly be the root cause of ineffective marketing performance of agricultural products’ firms in terms of customer’s service, profitability and product availability. The researchers therefore, sought to discuss this limitation, thereby bridging acknowledge gap. Based on the objective of the study, a systematic survey was utilized to obtain information from 391 management staff of agricultural product enterprises, and on3 hypothesis was developed. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The results demonstrated a favourable and significant association between supply chain channel design and marketing performance of agricultural product companies. It was concluded that if supply chain channel design is well implemented, there would be an increase in marketing performance as measured by client fulfilment, profitability and product availability. Considering the results, it was recommended that sales, supply chain and marketing managers should effectively design their marketing channel to enhanced marketing performance in terms of customer services, profitability and product availability.
