The four Principles of Open Access Publisher Services

The limits of the services expected from publishers of Open Access Journals when payments are made or being subsidized:

  1. Copyright and Reuse

Complete copyright of the work lies with the author, but it is free for download, and reuse given appropriate attribution/citation.

  2. Archiving

Published works should have copies to be stored in databases (repositories) that are registered with all possible access available to the author. Authors should also be able to provide any variations of their works to the registered website or databases.

  3. Indexing

This reflects quality and it can get your work more audience. Published works should be indexed in standard databases.

  4. Readable with Machine

All the data provided in the researches published in an Open Access Journal should be readable by computer by open standards.
